Obituary of Irmgard Miller
93 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Irmgard was born in Kazun, Poland in 1926 and immigrated to Canada in 1927 with her parents Lydia and Henry Kurth. The family eventually settled in Kitchener. Growing up she blossomed into a beautiful young woman and married a handsome young man named Mike. Moving to Leamington they spent 66 years together and had three sons. In many ways, throughout her life Irmgard was truly a force of nature and proved it by helping run the family business, Mike Miller Service Ltd, being an active member of the Rhine Danube women’s auxiliary, and in her spare time, an active member in St. Paul’s Lutheran church functions. Irmgard is predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Miller (2012) and her sister Ursula Jaarsma (2019). She leaves behind her three sons, Richard (Janis), Windsor; Dennis (Darlene), Regina, Saskatchewan; Gary (Marilyn), Leamington. Wonderful Grandmother to Tarah (Michael), Reid (Sherine), Matthew (Jen), Anna-Marie (Jason), and Katie-Lynn (Brad). Proud Great Grandmother to Juliana, Michael, Audrey, Aiden, Isla, Rory, and Merida. A grateful thanks to the staff of Country Village for your loving care. Visitation at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 2-5pm. Funeral Service to celebrate Irmgard’s life will be held at the funeral home Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:30am. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
