GIGNAC, "Sal" Sarah Anne (nee Deehan)

December 26 1949 - May 2022

Sal passed away peacefully at the age of 72 at Erie Shores Hospice. Survived by her beloved husband Paul of 52 years. Loving mother to Chris Gignac (JoAnn), Robert Gignac (Ian) and Laura Gignac (Tina). Treasured Gram of Jack, Joseph and Benjamin Gignac. Predeceased by her parents Theodore and Rita Deehan (nee Shanahan). Dear sister to Gary (Elaine) Deehan, Roy (Donna) Deehan, late Michael (late Gloria) Deehan, Brian Deehan, late Patrick Deehan, John (Jan) Deehan, Tom (Carolyn) Deehan. Dear sister-in-law to late Ron (Janet) Gignac, Ken (Shirley) Gignac, Nancy (Steve) Brown and Michael (Marion) Gignac. Cherished friend to Bev and Morley, Gloria and Ed, Carolyn and Jim, Joanne and Jim, Ariana, Dave and sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sal was a long time employee of Iler Lodge and manager at St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Her fight with cancer was short, but courageous. The family would like to thank her wonderful care team at Windsor Regional Hospital and Erie Shores Hospice for their support. Sal was a proud Irish woman and through her kind and generous ways, was a mother and sister to many. She will be forever loved and missed. In following Sal's wishes, cremation will take place followed by a private Celebration of Life Service.
